When I was a teenager, also known as the Reign of Terror around my house, and I did something especially outrageous, Mama—without saying a word—would unplug my Pink Princess Phone and squirrel it away in her lingerie chest (she was a horrible person!) which forced me to talk on the phone in the kitchen within earshot of her and Daddy. There was no protection from abusive parents back then. After a day or two (the time period was never specified or discussed) I would go get it and plug it back in. A period of tranquility would ensue.
Alan gave me this wonderful print of a phone exactly like the one I had as a teenager. It was painted by one of my most ardent subscribers, the wonderful artist Janine Holter. Her whimsical work is delightful. Thank you, Alan. Thank you, Mama and Daddy, for putting up with me. And thank you, Janine, for your beautiful work and your passionate support of Corvairs and Horny Toads.

Lucinda, love the art and the wild pink Princess phone, the "Reign of Terror" image, and your funny and insightful takes on teenage histrionics in general. Always makes me smile.
