Your stories and reminiscences are so rich and honest, and so resonant. Thank you for the energy and heart invested here. And I’m heartened to know that Alan is such a deep part of this work. My wife, Diana, has been with me through my writer’s journey do the past eighteen years. Her encouragement and support have been integral to my work. Wonderful that we have partners who walk alongside us, and even at times I think nudge us forward. Corsair’s and Horny Toads is amazing on so many levels. The stories, the truths—but also the delivery, the accessibility. All wonderful.
Nick this is so wonderful to hear. I am humbled. You are such a gifted writer and your positive feedback is wonderful. I’m going to miss the camaraderie at SBWC this summer. I’m holding out some hope that some alternate get together will happen. Meanwhile it is great being in touch with you and again I am very grateful for you positive comments it means a lot to me. And—yes isn’t it great to have support in the work that writing is. My husband is invaluable to me and has really taken up a void left when my mother left. Alan and I worked together as director, actor and this project is not unlike that. It truly is wonderful.
This backstory makes the wonders of the stories even more meaningful. Knowing how hard you and Alan work on this project just deepens the joy I feel at getting to be a part of the world of Corvairs and Horny Toads. Blessings upon you all!
I figured you practiced some form of dog/human conversation how could you not with those Labs babies. Thanks for your support for Corvairs and Horny Toads and for your friendship! It is valued.
I love so much special meaning in your jewelry, Lucinda. And how it's composed of intertwining stories of all three of you and so many memories. A heartfelt and beautiful story, thank you.
‘Tis the season to send blessings to you both for such lovely remembrances. It helps us excavate our own stories of Christmas celebrations past and present. I speak to my Rocky every day. And he speaks to me in sign language. A tongue sticking out and a paw on the knee means “I want a bone; or it’s time to eat. A whine means I want to go outside! Communication is alive and well.
Well I figured you had an open line of communication with your dog baby. What would we do without that purest love of a dog. Thanks for your support and comments, Kathy. It means a lot. Happy New Year to you and I hope that 2025 will bring us together in the flesh at some point. We've got so much to conquer this year and for the next four years. I'm hoping that part of our victory will be in cementing the bonds that make us so much stronger than "them".
Thank you so much Tess. I am so pleased to hear that you are enjoying my stories. I am still holding out hope that some form of the conference will take shape. It is truly a wonderful experience. Breathing the same air and being as intensely focused on our shared passion is a good thing to do--being surrounded by like-minded people is very empowering.

Corvairs and Horny Toads would not mean as much to us without you, Hal. We value your input and support and friendship so much.
Thank you for the back story. How beautiful this story is. As for pets, we practice "mind reading", both ways. It seems to work most of the time.
