Such a sweetly touching story, with its shift in characters from previous ones. You blended the history seamlessly. Thank you, once again, Lucinda.

What a fascinating look into yet another subgroup of Dixon residents. This was especially meaningful and resonant for me, given my ancestral affinity to the American Jewish diaspora. Again such a well-realized, well-told story! Brava!

Hal, I am so pleased to hear from you and to know that Imagine, Mi Amor resonated with you and reached you in the particular way I intended the story to reach-- specifically and also broadly broach the subject of the swirl of history and that we are all caught up and mixed into the melee of historical events. Thank you for this comment.

I love that the Gibsons make an appearance at the end. The perfect way to spend an evening with the rain coming down is listening to you tell this story. Loved every minute. ❤️

Excellent! I remember an LA Times article that discribed the lives of Jews who had converted to the Christian faith. But secretly they practiced their original Jewish faith. In the article, I think they were referred to as "Cruzados." Very good story!

Randy, thank you for listening and thank you for your words that are especially meaningful coming from my long-lost, now-found cousin.

Wordsmith Lucinda Blackwood again weaves a heartwarming tale of the lives and loves of people from the fictionalized town of Dixon, which takes on a personality all its own. This is my favorite so far.I love your writing style, Lucinda. I'm there on the hwy with you, watching the cottontail hotfoot it across the lonely road, eyeballing the slow-moving armadillo, feeling the heat of both Texas and New Mexico. And pouring that pack of peanuts into a sweet bottle of Coca Cola. Gracias, amiga.

Love this one, too, Lucinda. It hits home to this Catholic girl whose best friend in college is Sephardic Jew. Thank you for this memory
