Look for the King Leo (?) brand peppermint sticks. they are soft'ish. We have a satsuma tree and it is loaded with tender, sweet fruit. I was thinking last night i'd get some peppermint sticks and try the little tangerines. Isn't it funny what little things stick in your mind for a lifetime? Thank you for reading
Love this Lucinda. The sensible yet attractive cotton dress, sensible but all right shoes, and the oranges and peppermint sticks! When I was little at our Christmas W
Eve service where my younger sister and I sang in the children’s choir, oranges were given to the children, love that memory.
Just wonderment! I am looking for a porous peppermint stink to make a juicy magic orange treat. Gonna sit back enjoy my drink, yummy peppermint orange, lean into the memories of Home. Yakoke Lucinda for this refreshing field trip in the mountains this Sunday morning. I can feel the crispness and smell the purity in the mountain air. There is no place like Home.
My favorite Basque restaurant is Wool Growers in Los Banos. It's been years but I still remember the meal I had there with my then in-laws on our way to Cambria from Los Altos. What a heavenly treat!
I wonder if that's the one Lucinda and I went to years ago on a trip to Oregon. We stopped at the most recommended restaurant in the Basque area of California, so it could have been the same. At any rate, it was wonderful.
What a treat this history lesson is. Thank you, Lucinda.
What a treat to get your comment, Amy. You're welcome.
I want want want to experience this peppermint orange now. What a great memory and a beautiful way to tell your field trip story.

It is such a specific memory sometimes, something little like that. Very sweet.
Now I have to sample the Basque cheesecake! And the Orange/peppermint delight!
